How to Prepare for your Visit

• Familiarise yourself with the exhibitor list, advice clinic and seminar timetable then plan who you want to see, what you want to do and when.
• Give yourself plenty of time at the show to do everything you need to.
• If you are hoping to impress a potential employer, do your research. Look up their website to find out some background information on the company and the vacancies on offer. You may be able to link through to their website via our exhibitor list.
• Think about what you have to offer and how you are going to get this across when you meet the exhibitor – don’t forget to sell yourself.
• Consider what you should wear – it is good to dress to impress but you need to be comfortable and are likely to spend a lot of time on your feet.
• Take your CV and bring extra copies in case you find other organisations of interest to you.
• Some employers like to interview on site, so look through our home page tips under careers advice to prepare for this.
• You may be required to complete an application form so, again, be prepared and check out our tips under careers advice on the home page.

At the exhibition:

• Collect your free copy of the show guide and any addendums with details on last minute exhibitor additions or other updates to the show.
• If you are not entirely sure about your CV, use the advice clinics.
• Make sure you register upon entry so we can keep you posted with vacancies of interest to you.
